Constantin Manuel Bosancianu (aka Manu) will be presenting part of this doctoral work titled "A GROWING RIFT IN VALUES. Income Inequality’s Impact on Mass Attitude Polarization". The paper focuses on changing attitude polarization through the possible link between income inequality, voters' attitudes and the party system. It shows that income inequality does have an impact on mass polarization, but not on elite level attitudes. Please find the paper and the graphs and tables attached. Please note that this is not an absolute final version of the paper, but a work in progress. The presentation by Manuel will be the first in a series of presentations that will take place later this semester and the next in which we deal in one way or another with the concept of polarization. It seems that many people associated with PolBeRG at present are working on values, attitudes, policies and the differences between them in societies/political systems - i.e. polarization. In this context we will be trying to focus more on topics that are in divergent ways related to this problematic.
